Entrance to College
For students entering Penn State after Spring 2018, the entrance to major requirements can be found in the Undergraduate Bulletin.
The information on this page should be used only by students who began as a first-year student at Penn State in Spring 2018 or before.
The requirements to enter the college in general, premajor status are:
- 2.00 cumulative grade-point average (CGPA)
Entrance to Major (ETM) Requirements
*The KINES/AEH option offers two emphases: The ACSM/NSCA/CSCS certification emphasis, which requires a minimum 2.00 CGPA and third-semester classification to enter, and the Health and Physical Education (HPE) K-12 certification emphasis, which includes entrance requirements mandated by the Pennsylvania Department of Education, including a minimum 3.00 CGPA and requirements listed at Teacher Education Programs Entrance Criteria: http://ed.psu.edu/current-students/undergrad/criteria-table
